colour printed map; overall 86 x 110 cm. folds as issued; some tiny marginal tears; hand written annotation on title page; some slight dusting on front cover; o/w vg cond.

A large and very decorative map of South Africa. The borders are decorated with small vignettes of sites, natural history, indigenous people and tourist activities. Two insets of the areas of Johannesburg and Pietermaritzburg. A large ornate cartouche with various coat-of-arms. Various animal decorations within the map. On verso, there is a numbered list of 71 tourist attractions which are being referrred to in the map.
