A very colourful and decorative map of Scotland, illustrating the history with battlefield markers, text insets quoting Scottish poems and sayings and small vignettes. The map is surrounded with the coats-of-arms of the Scottish Clans. The cartouche is a roundel with the Thistle and scrollwork. The sea is decorated with ships, referencing various battles.
