This print is part of a limited edition of 21 lithographs of vineyards of the Bordeaux region, France, designed by Charles Mozley with text and introduction by Hugh Johnson, published for Christie’s Wine Publication in 1975, and in association with the wine merchants Hedges and Butler.

Mozley was a British draughtsman, well known for his witty drawings for merchants’ lists and restaurant, notably the Mirabelle, Curzon St, London.

Johnson (1939-) is an English journalist, author, editor, and expert on wine, and considered the world’s best-selling wine writer.

Hedges and Butler are wine merchants, and were founded in 1667. They are still occupying 17th Century cellars in Regent Street, London.
