wood engraved map; overall 34 x 48 cm. folds as issued; supported on archival paper due to existing ‘problems’ (tears, splits); o/w vg cond.

A most decorative double hemisphere world map. The map is surrounded by 10 naval and battle scenes as well as pastoral scenes and landscapes. There is a decorative scroll border surrounding the map, and various flowers, emblems and animals are adorning the corners.
