colour printed folding map; overall 48 x 68 cm, folds down to 23 x 16 cm. some sligt wear and tear; some small holes in crossfolds; small indentations; o/w vg cond.

A very decorative souvenir map of the United States, handed out at the pavillion at the Brussels Universal and International Exhibition in 1958. Each State is described with small illustrations, indigenous trades/ products etc and the distribution of languages spoken by the settlers. On verso, there is a detailed description of various aspects of American life being demonstrated at the exhibition, like nuclear energy, children’s creative centre, domestic & industrial architecture etc.
