A very attractive map of Hispaniola by Ruscelli from his work ‘La Geografia di Claudio Tolomeo Alessandrino’, which is based on Gastaldi’s edition of 1548. This atlas was published in Venice between 1561 and 1598. Text on verso is Spanish. NB the different longitudes and latitudes in the neatline in comparison to later editions.
